The COVID 19 Situation is constantly evolving, and we THANK YOU for your PATIENCE and LOYALTY as we all continue to adapt! We are doing everything in our power to keep your family and our staff safe!
We will no longer test asymptomatic patients for COVID-19.
What should I do if my child has a known exposure?
Quarantine for 5 days after exposure and then get tested, whether the child shows symptoms or not. Testing earlier than 5 days from exposure can result in a false negative.
Where can my child get tested?
Orange County Health Services at Barnett Park, Econ Soccer Complex, and the former Clarcona Elementary School. No age requirement
CVS will test ages 3+
Walgreens will test ages 3+
Use an FDA approved at home test such as:
- Quidel Quick View At Home OTC Covid 19 test
- Abbott Binax Now
- BD Veritor System for Rapid Detection of SARS COV-2
- Pixel by Labcorp
My child quarantined 5 days and I have test results that are less than 48 hours old. Now what?
If your child has a NEGATIVE TEST AND HAS NO SYMPTOMS, you can email us the test results or a clear photo of the test. This must include the name/type of test, test date and result, and in most cases, we will write a back-to-school note without requiring a Televisit.
If your child has a NEGATIVE TEST BUT DOES HAVE COVID SYMPTOMS, you can make an Televisit or in-office appointment.
If your child has a POSITIVE TEST AND HAS NO SYMPTOMS, they must quarantine 10 days and be fever free for at least 24 hours before returning to school or daycare. In most cases, we will write a back-to-school note without requiring a Televisit, but you must email us the test results or a clear photo of the test. This must include the name/type of test, test date and result.
If your child has a POSITIVE TEST AND HAS SYMPTOMS, you can make a Televisit appointment.
Please call before coming if you, or anyone attending the appointment, has any of the following:
- Respiratory concerns/Wheezing
- Loss of Taste or Smell
- Exposure to COVID-19
We currently allow a maximum of TWO healthy Guardians to escort the patient or patients into the lobby AND into the exam room for the appointment.
We are asking all Guardians and patients over age 2 to wear a mask, covering both the mouth and nose while inside our facility.
Please allow for siblings and additional family members to remain at home.
After checking in, you may choose to wait in your car, and we will call you when the doctor is ready to see you.
For your convenience, Virtual Telehealth appointments continue to be available for a variety of concerns. Often you can get your questions answered and receive appropriate treatment from one of our providers from the comfort and convenience of your home. Please ask one of our schedulers for more information.
